Racial Divide: A Spiritual Perspective-the Separation of Spirit and Soul

Today on Red Table Talk (available on FB), a panel of multigenerational women discussed the racial tension that occurs within our current society. Jada Pinkett Smith brought to light a curious dynamic between black and white women—which I feel can be explained through understanding the spiritual or energetic perspective of Reality, and the multidimensional aspects of our Spirit and Soul. In a discussion about finding common ground between black and white women, Jada imparts, “There’s a lot between us that we don’t understand- we’re always trying to get into something real and authentic.” Later in the conversation she challenges her mother regarding certain prejudices and stereotypes held within their family, which has two white members through marriage. “I think it’s more than that and the reason I keep sticking you about it is because of Jason and Lexi (white family members). There’s something unique about the female dynamic here—there’s something unique in regards to why black and white women have such a difficult time. There’s something unique there that I don’t even think we are conscious of.….there’s something specific about women and our history and how we are still relating to each other.” In this instance Jada is speaking to her mother about how they welcomed Jason, one white family member more readily than Lexi, another white family member. The reasoning was that Jason had more “swag" than Lexi, and “acted more black.” In essence, Jason exhibited more “Soul”. If we break this down into pure energy, we can trace this feeling of separation back to original Source. Source, the everything and the no thing- divided itself in order to understand itself. The Essence became two energies, which we will call Spirit and Soul. While Spirit and Soul are the same Essence, they perform different functions. Spirit is the Light, movement/masculine/yang/active aspect of God. Soul is the Darkness/Void, nourishing/feminine/yin/receptive aspect of God. As the Earth became inhabited with beings from other realms thousands of years ago, these beings merged with the native population on this planet, forming a new race of beings that would eventually become Homo Sapiens. The darker skinned beings of the planet held frequencies closer to the Earth and Mother Spirit realms, focusing on the Soul/feminine/yin/receptive qualities, and thus were a more anchored species on the planet. They channeled the Divine energy through their embodiment often dancing, singing, creating and harvesting the land. Their connection to God was through direct embodiment of Source. The star beings that arrived were lighter in color and held frequencies closer to the galactic realms, the Spirit/masculine/yang/active principle. They had a challenging time adjusting to life on this planet as the energy centers in their minds/brow chakra were finely attuned yet lacked the depth to fully feel at home, or at peace on this planet. Many beings even resented their darker-skinned companions and yearned to experience this level of embodiment. Yet, this species brought a refined awareness and channeled God through what we call "mind", the brow and crown energy centers. As time passed, the species merged to create humanity as we know it, and over time darker skinned people naturally maintained the frequency of Soul/Goddess/Mother Spirit to a larger degree, as lighter skinned beings have resonated more with the frequency of Divine mind/God/Father Spirit and tend to lead lives driven from this seat of consciousness. This “gap” in frequencies can explain why people of color often find a lack of depth (Soul) in lighter skinned people, and don’t easily relate. They may find the frequency that many light skinned people operate on to be skimming the surface, or superficial. Particularly, in this instance black women and women of color may find white women to represent the ultimate betrayal of womanhood.

Energetically, if the Soul holds the frequency of Divine Womb/receptive/dark/yin/ feminine/Mother Spirit/feeling Self, then by nature of their energetic makeup, light skinned women tend to reflect the Divine Mind/ active/ light/yang/masculine/Father Spirit/ thinking Self, which in essence, would be a subconscious betrayal of the womb space, and Womanhood itself. Black women and women of color who are in tune with their Soul (womb space) would sense this subconsciously. It also explains prejudices that white people often carry toward people of color—holding an air of superiority that comes from a refined connection with the Divine mind. This is not to say that people of color do not hold frequencies of Spirit, or that lighter skinned individuals cannot access Soul. Far from it. In this new timeline, we reintegrate as our true essence, which is Source, the Divine union of Spirit and Soul. Regardless of our skin pigmentation or gender, we all are made of Soul (Darkness/Feminine/Yin) and Spirit (Light/Masculine/Yang).

We each contain unique frequencies of the Whole, that when integrated through our personal integrity create a magnificent show of Light. We are each Prisms of the one true God. We are unique blends of Spirit and Soul. Our human hearts are the bridge that narrows the gap. When we recognize that we are truly one humanity, the veils lift. Celebrating what makes us unique, we hold space for the trauma that our false separation created. We open our hearts and our ears to our sisters and brothers of color as they speak to their experience. We stand in our own Soul with full integrity as Spirit guides. What happens to One, happens to All. In unity, we are indivisible. 2500 shades of Grace.
