Energy of the Moment 2/22/18: TRUCE (4 of Swords), the UNIVERSE, FORTUNE, SCIENCE (6 of Swords) Epiphanies and “aha” moments arrive. Deep internal realization is here for us now. TRUCE, 4 of Swords, reminds that we are in a time of contemplation, rest, reflection and maturation. We experience the integration of mind, body, spirit and soul. Just as musicians and athletes must live in the “zone” to maintain focus and concentration, we are asked to embody this level of presence in our daily lives. In its Highest, this is a place of deep contemplation, clear conscience and Divine focus. We maintain our cool in high-pressure situations. We speak authority in the intellectual realm. Shadow qualities include fixed or rigid views and posturing. We may cling to laws and dogma, rather than listening to the intuitive Wisdom within. Only at this depth do we find refuge from the mental chaos of society. Social justice and activism ignite! In its detriment, this energy creates forced retreat through illness and isolation. We must take excellent care of our body-minds. The UNIVERSE supports us with its Cosmic unification, assuring us Paradise Within is always available to us, despite external conditions. This energy represents the resolution and conclusion of karma, the return home to the throne of God. Crowley described this energy as “man recognizing himself in woman in order to understand the Universe.” In its shadow, we live in dead-end consciousness, on a street to nowhere. Here we operate in the deceptive illusion of appearances and find ourselves on endless repeat of regret. This eventually leads to depression. FORTUNE awaits us! In this card, the Great Work = Great Fortune. The Wheel spins in our favor and destiny is in the palm of our hands. We experience the 4 magical virtues: to Know, to Will, to Dare, and to Keep Silence. In this place we understand our purpose in the greater tapestry and move in the flow of events with ease and grace. Ripe for greater relationships and uplifting situations, we balance the three forms of energy. Sattvas (calm, intelligence, lucidity, balance), Rajas (energy, excitement, fire, brilliance, restlessness) and Tamas (darkness, inertia, sloth, ignorance, death) merge as all inner selves are at peace. The shadow side of this nature is to romanticize rather than relate. We can become fatalistic in nature, rather than expressing our gratitude for all of Life. Balance and integration is necessary. We take a breath out and digest all of our recent experiences in life and love. Listening for the motives beneath each situation, we act only as our Soul guides. Justice is done as we steer our own course and stay in our lane! We avoid skepticism, mistrust and prejudices as these strip us of our Presence.
